As many as 11,204 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the state’s recovery count went up to 13,69,810.
The death of 150 patients has pushed the toll further to 42,115.
With 1600 new patients, the tally has increased to 2.41 lakh. The active cases stand at 18,062.
2,714 patients also discharged, taking the recovery number to 2.1 lakh.
However, 49 people also lost their lives, taking the toll count to 9731.
Among those dead, 34 patients had co-morbidities and 31 were above 60-years of age.
Mumbai’s recovery rate is 87 per cent, the doubling rate has increased to 90 days.

After months of denial, govt finally admits community transmission

Monorail services resume in Mumbai after pandemic
Services on the 20-km monorail line in Mumbai resumed on Sunday, after nearly seven months of closure. The single line, which had been struggling with ridership numbers before the pandemic as well, witnessed low crowd, likely due to a weekend.

Plates of rajgira puri, potato gravy, dal, and rice were served to 211 passengers inside the privately run Mumbai-Ahmedabad Tejas Express on Saturday. “We will be serving rajgira puri and potato gravy to passengers. This will be as per our upvas (fasting) menu decided for Navratri. Likewise all six days of the trips, we will serve other cooked food, which will be the first to be served inside the train in this lockdown. Through the week we will follow the cyclic menu,” said an official from IRCTC.
