With 8,151 new cases, Maharashtra’s coronavirus infection tally on Tuesday increased to 16,09,516. The state also reported 213 new COVID-19 deaths, and the death toll currently stands at 42,453. In a much-needed relief to women commuters from across Mumbai city and suburban areas, the Railways has finally given the go-ahead to them to travel in the suburban local trains during off-peak hours. The decision comes two days after the exchange of letters between the Railways and the state government after the latter asked to permit the travel.
