Mumbai, Oct 21 (UNI) The Rupee on Wednesday slipped further by 12 paise to close negative at 73.58 against the US Dollar on brisk demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit that opened higher by eight paise to 73.38, tumbled down and settled at 73.58, dropped by 12 paise as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee remained under pressure today because of firm Dollar against other world currencies amid sliding equity market, dealers added.
The rupee registered intra days high and low at 73.62 and 73.35 respectively, he added.
