With Kareena Kapoor having joined Instagram earlier this year, we got quite a few peeks into her four-storey home in Mumbai’s Bandra neighbourhood. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, along with their son Taimur live in a building called Fortune Heights. The space is fitted with a sprawling library that also doubles as an entertainment nook for the couple, a gym and small balcony. According to an India Today report, the couple purchased this house in 2013 for a whopping Rs 43 crore. However, DNA reported in July that this Bollywood couple was moving into a new house, a bigger four-storey one located in the building complex right opposite them. Saif revealed to the publication that he has been periodically checking up on the flat every now and then.

What better way to spend time with family than at an ancestral palace belonging to a royal family? After all, the actor is the son of actress Sharmila Tagore and former Indian Cricket Team captain Mansoor Ali Khan, who was the last Nawab of Pataudi. The family’s ancestral home, the Pataudi Palace, was a heritage hotel managed by the Neemrana Group. However, in 2014, Saif gained possession of the Palace by buying his ancestral home back from the Hotel group. So instead of staying in a hotel each time they visit, the couple owns a luxury chalet in the mountains, according to DNA. This space is a huge part of their new year’s tradition and like every year, they rang in 2020 too in the snowy country with friends and family as well.
