Day Three of Bombay times Fashion Week 2019 Autumn- Winter edition was flagged off by a show that talked about the need for saving the environment. Raffles Design International presented Runway Revisited, curated by budding designers from the reputed institute. The next show was shared by two designers. Sonali Jain’s chandelier collection was followed by Farha Syed’s Zahara collection, which literally translates to flowers.
Sonali Jain’s chandelier collection was displayed with the feel of a concert. Show-stoppers, singers Tanishk Bagchi and Zara Khan, with their lovely voices, sang for the models walking on the runway. They even broke into a little jig with them, bringing the audience to life. Designer Sonali Jain danced her way to the ramp with the singers while her collection, full of dazzle and chandelier-shaped outfits and a special gown full of lights, stole the show. Sonali said, “I designed Tanishk and Zara’s outfits based on the chandelier which is why there are so many embellishments and details on them.” Tanishk added, “I felt like a star wearing Sonali’s outfit. I would prefer wearing her designs in future, too.”
The second set of designs, created by Farha Syed, was all about flowers. Amyra Dastur and Sheeba, wearing blood red gowns, walked the ramp as show-stoppers. Farha said, “I love flowers. I made sure that my entire collection is about that and I even created special outfits for my showstoppers which are these wonderful red gowns which make them look beautiful.”
Day Three of BTFW 2019 has thus far been packed with action. With Rannvijay Singha and Ileana D’cruz gearing up to walk the ramp, we can barely wait to tell you more!
