Ali Fazal, in the last scene of Mirzapur Season 2, is seen entering the Tripathi Haveli as Guddu Bhaiya and taking over the throne of the town. His character seems to be seeking asylum from all the forces he can find until he achieves what he sets his eyes on. However, Ali Fazal in IRL has made his own world nestled in Mumbai’s Bandra neighbourhood, according to Hindustan Times. Now that we might have to wait a long time for Season three of Mirzapur to come around, we thought it was fitting to give you a virtual tour of his cosy and artistic apartment.
Ali Fazal’s house in Bandra, Mumbai
Unlike Guddu Bhaiya whose goals include building a killer bod and exacting revenge, Ali Fazal has been aiming for the stars. While he delivers a brilliant second season of one of India’s biggest web series, he is a popular face in Hollywood, having acted in a series besides Dame Judie Dench (in Victoria & Abdul). He is now promoting Indian cinema at the El Gouna Film Festival. Having travelled across the world like this, Fazal always seems to bring back the coolest knick knacks and has decorated his house with them.

In a video for a real estate website called Square Yards, Fazal gave fans a tour of his home. Upon entering the space, the first thing that you will notice is the number of movie memorabilia. Right from the frames on the walls to an extensive library, Ali Fazal has no heistation in admitting that he’s a bit geeky.

His living space is divided into two parts. One comprises the lounging area and the other is set up with a 5-seater dining table and a library standing tall. Fazal claims that he uses the dining room space to not just eat, but also, chill and work. One thing placed here that might catch your eye is the vintage typewriter.

The living room space is done up with grey walls and a perfect contrast is laid out with Prussian blue sofas. The windows are covered with a bamboo blinds, which when rolled down, create the perfect atmosphere for binge-watching on his big flat screen. His table is a custom made trunk, which stores all his DVDs.

The living room also leads up to a small balcony that has a teal blue chair and Ali Fazal claims that’s where he finds the peace of mind. This little space is where he likes to sit and think, read scripts and prepare for his roles. The hallway leading up to the bedroom is also covered in framed posters of Charlie Chaplin and other vintage films.
The passage way leading up to Ali Fazal’s bedroom
Moving on to Ali Fazal’s bedroom. One of the walls is painted black, which acts as a blackboard. The actor uses this to write down his thoughts and plan out several logistics. There’s also a golden masquerade mask hung in this space. Below that, Fazal has set up a ground seating where he reads books and meditates. The room currently has a single bed, which we’re sure will be updated as soon as his fiancée, Richa Chadda moves in. This room also has a small balcony looking over the streets of Bandra.

Ali Fazal has been living in this apartment for over three years now. This place is extra special to him as this was the last house his mother lived in before she passed away in June this year.
