In the past couple of months, many celebrities have tested positive for Coronavirus. Today another name got added to that list. On Monday, Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi announced that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
He took to his Twitter to inform fans and well-wishers about his health status. He said, “I am currently asymptomatic & quarantining myself at home. Request all those who met me in the last 5 few days to also undergo covid tests. Will update you on my recovery soon,”
The actor was to start shooting for his forthcoming movie Acharya and had undergone a test as a precautionary measure. He is currently under home quarantine and has asked people who have come in contact with him in the last five days to get themselves tested.
On Saturday, Chiranjeevi along with Nagarjuna had gone out to meet Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The meeting had been held at Pragathi Bhavan and the agenda was to discuss the issues Telugu film industry is facing. Due to the pandemic, the film industry has been impacted in a negative manner and the three of them had met to brainstorm regarding restarting the business in the state and to discuss the initiatives of the Telangana government would be taking.
India continues to be the second most impacted country by the novel coronavirus. While many European countries are contemplating another lockdown to arrest the second wave of COVID-19, India’s growth rate seems to be stabilising.
