Moving to a new pad gives a high to all of us, celebrities included. Some of our B-Town denizens picked new addresses this year – some of them have nestled into them already, some are getting them set and some are still planning what their new places should look like. Here’s a quick check on the new addresses in Bollywood:
Hrithik Roshan: The Greek God has reportedly bought two apartments, priced at nearly Rs 100 crore in a building on Juhu-Versova Link Road in Mumbai. He plans to integrate the two apartments for a mansion-in-the-air, where one is a duplex penthouse and the other is a single-storeyed home.
Ayushmann and Tahira Kashyap Khurrana: The actor and his family picked a house in Sector 6, Panchkula, near Chandigarh. The house is currently being re-modelled for the family to move in together eventually.
Nimrat Kaur: The actress was doing up her new pad in Bandra when the lockdown set in earlier this year. Gradually, as the lockdown was eased off, she could move around and get her new home in the tony neighbourhood, decorated to her liking.
Yami Gautam: The actress and her parents were planning to move into their new house when the lockdown was imposed. Her family in Chandigarh had bought the place shortly before the lockdown and were in the midst of shifting homes when they had to stop work.
Taapsee Pannu: The super-busy star who can barely be home, bought herself another flat in the same building where she currently resides. The actress owns both the houses. The new house was done up recently.
Richa Chadha: A day before Diwali, the soon-to-be married actress packed up from her old residence and moved into a new one, a row house in Juhu, where she will be living in with her beau, Ali Fazal, her brother and their two cats, Jugni and Kamli.
Vikrant Massey: Things have been looking up for this actor, personally and professionally. While he made strides with his performances across films and shows, he also got engaged to his ladylove, Sheetal Thakur. The couple ushered in Diwali in their new house.

Nushrratt Bharuccha: The actress has been preoccupied for the last couple of months trying to buy cutlery, curtains and cushions for her own pad in Juhu. The actress moved into it just recently and feels extremely happy to be all by herself.
Rakul Preet Singh: The actress will need a few days off from work to complete the redecoration of her new, swanky apartment in Bandra.
Arshad Warsi: The actor bought a Portuguese villa in Goa for his family to holiday there. The house was bought shortly before the lockdown. It’s an ancient villa dating back to the 1800s and is in pristine condition. The actor, last heard, was getting it renovated for his family.

Celebs who took the plunge amid the lockdown
While the entire nation went into lockdown owing to the coronavirus pandemic, weddings and celebratory events were restricted by the government as a precautionary measure against the contagion. However, several celebrities looked at the brighter side and decided to get engaged — and some married — during the lockdown, in the company of their close friends and family, away from the scores of paparazzi and fans crowding outside the venues.
From Rana Daggubati, Kajal Aggarwal to Gauahar Khan, Shaheer Sheikh, here’s a list of celebs who began a new phase of life with their partners in 2020.
Rana Daggubati – Miheeka Bajaj
Baahubali fame Rana Daggubati tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend Miheeka Bajaj on August 8. It was a traditional Andhra-style Hindu wedding ceremony at the Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad amidst tight security. Given the ongoing pandemic, there were just around 30 guests, which included the bride and groom’s immediate family and a few close friends. Rana’s best friend, Ram Charan, and his wife Upasana made an appearance, as did another actor-friend Allu Arjun. Rana’s actor-cousin, Naga Chaitanya, was also there with wife Samantha Akkineni.
Neha Kakkar – Rohanpreet Singh
Bollywood singer Neha Kakkar and her fiance Rohanpreet Singh got married on October 24 in Delhi in a traditional Anand Karaj ceremony. The couple took the plunge in the company of their close friends and family. Both Neha and Rohanpreet were seen dressed in shades of pink by famous designer Sabyasachi for their special day.
Kajal Aggarwal – Gautam Kitchlu
Kajal Aggarwal, known for her turn in films like Special 26 and Singham, got married to entrepreneur-boyfriend Gautam Kitchlu on October 30 in an intimate ceremony at a Mumbai hotel. In keeping with the social distancing rules, the paparazzi was discouraged from crowding around the venue. The couple then took off to the Maldives for their honeymoon and the actress treated her fans with some of the most dreamy pictures clicked by her husband at the archipelago.
Aditya Narayan – Shweta Agarwal
Aditya Narayan on November 3 announced that he is all set to marry his longtime girlfriend Shweta Agarwal in December. The singer shared a loved-up picture with Shweta on social media and called himself the ‘luckiest man alive’ to have found his soul mate 11 years ago. In the caption of this special post, Aditya also said that he is taking a break from social media for wedding preparations. “We are getting married! I am the luckiest man alive to have found Shweta, my soul mate, 11 years ago and we are finally tying the knot in December. We are both extremely private people and believe that it’s best to keep one’s private life, well, private. Taking a break from social media for shaadi prep. See you in December,” he wrote.
Gauahar Khan – Zaid Darbar
Bigg Boss 7 winner Gauahar Khan got engaged to her boyfriend Zaid Darbar on November 5. Gauahar took to social media to announce the news of her engagement with an adorable picture of herself with Zaid, who also happens to be the son of renowned music composer Ismail Darbar. Though the couple has remained tight-lipped about their big day, sources close to them say that they are all set to get married in November this year.
Shaheer Sheikh – Ruchikaa Kapoor
Television’s favourite lover Shaheer Sheikh has found love in real life as well. The Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi actor got engaged to his girlfriend Ruchikaa Kapoor on November 24, and even shared that he was ‘excited for the rest of his life’. While no more details have been let out about the couple’s big day, if reports are to be believed, they will be heading for a court marriage by the end of 2020 itself.
