Reports state that investment in big-ticket properties has seen a huge rise in recent times. Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Business Tycoon Sunil Vachani, Venkata Reddy and many more were among the ones making these expensive purchases.

1. Alia Bhatt – Rs 32 crore
Alia Bhatt bought a 2,460 sq ft apartment in Bandra’s Pali Hill Vastu building for Rs 32 crore. This makes her neighbour with Ranbir Kapoor whose house is located on the 7th floor while Bhatt’s is on the 5th floor. The actress already owns an apartment in Juhu.
2. Jhanvi Kapoor – Rs 39 crore
Jhanvi Kapoor recently bought a triplex house worth Rs 39 crore. Located in Juhu Vile Parle Scheme, Mumbai, the house spreads across 4,144 square feet and is located on the 14th, 15th, and 16th floor. The actress also gets a six-car parking space. She will be sharing neighbourhood with B-town biggies like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, and Anil Kapoor (her uncle) and others.
3. Keki Mistry – Rs 41.23 Crore
The HDFC Vice-Chairman and CEO Keki Mistry bought a sea-facing apartment in Worli, Mumbai worth Rs 41.23 crore. The house is located in Artesia, a K Raheja Corp project and gives a magnificent view of the Arabian Sea and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Spread across 7,390 sq ft, it is located on the 35th floor and cost him stamp duty of Rs 95.6 lakh, per Money Control.
4. N Venkata Reddy – Rs 41.3 crore
Jubilee Hills – an affluent area in Hyderabad is home to many big names. Making a big-ticket purchase was pharma company Virchow Laboratories Limited’s owner N Venkata Reddy, who bought a house worth Rs 41.3 crore. The property is on a plot of land admeasuring 1,837 square yards. He gave stamp duty of Rs 2.27 crore and Rs 20 lakh as registration fee, as per a Money Control report.
5. Hrithik Roshan – Rs 100 crore
Recently, actor Hrithik Roshan bought two sea-facing apartments worth Rs 100 crore in Mumbai. Spread across 38,000 sq ft, the apartments are on the 14th, 15th, and 16th floors of a building on the Juhu-Versova Link. As per a Mumbai Mirror report, the house has a 6500 sq ft terrace, private elevator, 10 parking spots, a foosball table, billiards table as well as a chocolate vending machine.
6. Anurang Jain – Rs 100 crores
The MD of Endurance Technologies, Anurang Jain (also the nephew of Rahul Bajaj, Chairman of Bajaj Auto) recently made an expensive real-estate purchase. The industrialist spent Rs 100 crores on two apartments in Carmichael Residences, developed by Khemchand B. Kothari & Co. and Ashok Piramal Group’s Peninsula Land. Spread across 6,370 square-feet, the two adjacent apartments are located on the 19th floor. The building is located at Mumbai’s up-market Altamount Road-Carmichael Road, making him neighbours with Mukesh Ambani, reports The Economic Times.
7. The Motilal Oswal Family Trust – Rs 101 crore
The Motilal Oswal Family Trust bought two duplex apartments located in 33 South Condominium on Peddar Road that gives a spectacular view of the sea and South Mumbai skyline. The house came at Rs 1.48 lakh per square foot. This became the second-biggest real estate deal of 2020 in terms of amount, reports Mumbai Mirror.
8. Gautam Daftary – Rs 101
One of the most expensive residential deals of 2020 was Bharat Serum & Vaccines’ Gautam Daftary who bought two sea-facing apartments on South Mumbai’s Carmichael Road on the 20th floor for Rs 101 crore, reports The Economic Times. The place came at a whopping price of Rs 1.59 lakh per sq ft. The apartment is spread across 6,366 sq. ft.
